To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that on personal accounts identifies each person who opens an account. In addition for legal entity accounts, we may require identification or beneficial owners and controlling persons.
What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for identifying information which will allow us to identify you which, as applicable, may include your name, address, date of birth, identity documentation, or any other relevant identifying documents.
